Federal Marine Law

Title 46 is the portion of the Code of Federal Regulations that governs shipping within the United States for the United States Coast Guard, the United States Maritime Administration, and the United States Maritime Commission. It is available in digital or printed form.

 
Title 46 and Title 33 of the Code of Federal Regulations are usually consulted by Classification societies, engineering firms, deck officers on oceangoing vessels, and marine engineers.  It is divided into four chapters:


Chapter I — United States Coast Guard,
Chapter II — United States Maritime Administration,
Chapter III — United States Coast Guard (Great Lakes Pilotage), and
Chapter IV — United States Maritime Commission.

Marina Dock Age

Marine Dock Age is a trade magazine focused on the operation and management of waterfront facilities.  Each issue provides articles on issues facing owners and operators.  Subscriptions are to this trade magazine are FREE.  Look for the form.

Boating Industry

Boating Industry: Intelligence You Can Profit From is one of the oldest trade magazines in the marine industry (75+ years).   This free publication availabe in print (available in the Learning Resource Center) or digitally.  Check out the Resources tab to find white papers and to search their archive.  There are also articles on management in the industry.
